SEW-Retro Grease, Motor & Gear Lubricant for Vintage Sewing Machines

SEW-RETRO GREASE Motor & Gear Lubricant is specially formulated for vintage Singer motors that have a felt wick, including the Singer Featherweight 221 & 222K. This lubricant is appropriate for any and all sewing machines with all-metal gears, but it should not be used with any plastic or nylon gears. The lubricant comes with an instruction sheet for application and a port-cleaning tool to help clean out the motor ports of the old grease.

The Featherweight motor has two little holes where you can squeeze a pea-size amount of lubricant. As the motor heats up during use, the lubricant will be wicked into the motor as needed. Application twice a year is usually adequate, but if you sew day in and day out and/or do any free-motion quilting, you may need to lubricate your motor about once a quarter or as often as needed.
